A single hair
Completely transparent
Refusing to stay short
Or inconspicuous
As all facial hair should

I don’t know whether it is
Horrendous or sexy
Probably both
As all seductive things are

Repulsion and wonder
Growing in my face
Against all odds

Regularly removed
Never killed

A weed
Powerful
Rebellious
Impossible to control
Or eradicate

A central feature
In my face’s garden

Oddly beautiful
Proud

It won’t leave me
And will force me
To learn
To love it
